It is no doubt that the swine flu will continue to affect many people around the world. This is what WHO said when they announced that soon the alert level will be raised to 6 which means that we will confront with a Swine Flu pandemic and its true evil power. So far we’ve presented you some tools which can help you track the H1N1 virus. You can choose between Google Swine Flu Map, or the 2009 Swine Flu H1N1 Outbreak and Migration Map by Live Search Maps.

IMO the latter is better than the former, however, nobody really appreciated Twitter so far. I think that in fact Twitter is the best Swine Flu Map as everybody is tweeting therefore you can find out the latest news about the swine flu quickly and easily. In order to use Twitter to track the H1N1 strain, CompEpi (a research group at the University of Iowa) has developed a map which is still in early development it should become better in time.

Twitter Swine Flu Map

The Twitter Swine Flu map displays a multitude of dots which consist of a tweet. Every time someone tweets about the swine flu, then a colored dot appears on the map and you will be able to see who and from where someone said something about the H1N1 virus.

A recent report shows that there are at least 10,000 tweets per hour related to the Swine Flu therefore it is very easy to track the swine flu. You don’t need to track every area of the globe, you just have to watch tweets from your area. Hopefully, there won’t be a swine flu pandemic and everything will cool down soon.
