We all know that Apple doesn’t like fooling around with application developers for the App Store. Well, that is not entirely true as Apple has been approving awful applications, disapproving good applications, approving and disapproving random apps, and just doing whatever they want to do with iPhone apps. However, this could change when the iPhone OS 3.0 is released this summer.

A couple of days ago Apple has released the iPhone OS 3.0 beta 5, and among boring stuff, the company has also sent a small notice which said that all applications which will not be compatible with their iPhone 3.0 OS will be removed from the App Store. Although Apple thinks that most apps will not encounter any problems on running on the new OS, they admit that there are some that will not work therefore developers should review their apps or else they might remove them
“If your app submission is not compatible with iPhone OS 3.0, it will not be approved. After iPhone OS 3.0 becomes available to customers, any app that is incompatible with iPhone OS 3.0 may be removed from the App Store,” says the email notice.
What we don’t know if the developers will test their apps on an actual iPhone or if their apps should only be compatible with the code from the iPhone OS 3.0 SDK.

I had a app that i need and now it does not work because apple took it off before they updated so it was never updated for 3.0
I mainly use my iPhone for playing games, it’s the best gaming machine ever imo.
I hope that apple doesn’t remove the apps for 3.0 because that whats I run (more reliable) I don’t what to upgrade to the 3.1 software it crashes way more often
