Asus EEE PC T91 coming this June

Good news for you “touchy people”, Asus EEE PC T91, the first touchscreen convertible netbook from Asus will be released in June or maybe at the end of May in the United Kingdom. The netbook, which was announced all the way back in January this year will have a MRSP of £449 ($675). The US launch details have not been announced yet, but considering that the model is in FCC’s hands already, it is right to say that the US customers will not wait too long.

It is still uncertain if the model arriving to the UK in June will be the HSDPA-equipped T91GO that was announced at CeBIT in March.

While the official specifications are still unknown for the T91, it is fairly logic to assume that it will have an 8.9 inch capacitive touchscreen, an Intel Atom processor (the Z520 in previous demonstrations) and 1GB of RAM. TV-Tuner and GPS are two unconfirmed features of the model being released in June. Asus talked about the two back in January but it is uncertain if these features  will make their appearance in June.

This is a nice addition to the EEE PC line, I personally was very curious when I first heard that Asus will make a touchscreen netbook.

Cheers
