Wolfram|Alpha To Be Launched On 18 May

Yesterday, WolframAlfa has opened access to a test cluster. This way, people could get an idea about how this “computational knowledge engine”. The interest for this service turned out to be very high, as thousands of people discovered the test and were able to preview how Wolfram will work.Below you can find a map that shows from where the site was accessed. Users from around the world gathered to take a sneak peak, with Europe and the U.S. showing the most interest. Users from Cape Town, Delhi, Tokyo, Lima, Rio de Janeiro have shown their interest. Quoting a joke on the official Wolfram Blog : “We’re not quite so sure about the spot in the heart of the Australian desert”.
This service is undergoing final preparations for the official release that will take place on 18 of May.
This is an idea that can revolutionize the way we search information online, but more should be said after the site is officially launched.
