The rumors about a Zune Phone continue, and it wouldn’t be too hard to guess where the source comes from: Twitter. Although it didn’t give us too much information, a tweet from @officethemovie Twitter account says that there will be a product launch and that we should hold ourselves from buying an iPhone (probably the next-gen iPhone), or the upcoming Palm Pre. Another tweet says that June 2009 will be important if you are a Zune fanboy, however, this is pretty much it.

So what is Microsoft really up to? Why would they leave such an information leak via Twitter? That Twitter account is related to Microsoft which makes it official. The account  is probably ran by someone who was assigned by Microsoft to promote the upcoming Microsoft Office 2010 which will feature Twitter, Facebook, and other social networking tool directly into MS Word, but that’s not it as there will be a lot of surprises. Well, I don’t know if this is a good marketing strategy. I wouldn’t let someone to promote Microsoft services and products via Tweetie which is a Mac client for Twitter.

I am suspicious about Microsoft Office 2010 The Movie. I dunno what to say. Also, will Microsoft release a Zune phone? Is Pink coming in June at E3 conference? Will Microsoft release a Windows Mobile/Zune software combination for other devices?

All I can say is that office2010themovie.com shouldn’t be related to a Zune phone if indeed it is talking about it. There are several other questions to be asked, but let’s just wait for a while and let Steve Ballmer to wake up. Or some Microsoft official… something.
