Apple WWDC 2010: Safari 5 and Mac OS X 10.6.4 Coming Along New iPhone 4G / HD
The WWDC 2010 event is going to open its doors later today and the most exciting thing that we will see is the new iPhone 4G or iPhone HD. However, besides the smartphone, Apple is also going to release a major update to its browser as Safari 5 is going to be released for download, while a minor Mac OS X update will be pushed to Mac users worldwide.
Safari 5 is going to come packed with Bing as a search engine option, Safari Reader RSS, better HTML5 support, better hardware acceleration, 25% faster JavaScript and DNS prefetching, lots of developer tools, Smart Address Field à la Chrome, and lots of other bug fixes and reliability enhancements.
Sadly there are no indications whether Safari 5 is going to support Google’s new WebM project that will take watching videos in browsers to the next level.
Mac OS X 10.6.4 Snow Leopard will also become available for download and it will come packed with several bug fixes like the one causing keyboards/trackpads to become unresponsive. I know these are minor updates but they will definitely improve your Mac OS X experience! Stay tuned for more details about the Apple WWDC 2010 conference!
