Palm Pre is probably the most anticipated smartphone of the year, although Apple is preparing the next-gen iPhone I think that the Pre and its webOS are getting more and more attention from the audience. Apple has a lot of fanboys, however, the Palm Pre and its interesting capabilities can be able to outrun the iPhone. But for the moment the iPhone is an established smartphone, while Pre hasn’t even been released yet. According to a website which concentrates on notebooks, the Palm Pre will be launched on June 6, but I don’t believe this.

Here is why I don’t believe it – the article says that they spotted a countdown timer on the advertisements at the Sprint Now Network page. Well, I don’t believe that Sprint will let that slip away just like that, the rumors point to a June 5 or June 7 release, that is a website with mostly notebook reports, Sprint doesn’t launch cellphone on Saturday, and I can’t see that advertisement.

Well, I will call this a rumor. And I hope that these guys are right and we will have Palm Pre on June 6. Better sooner than later. I just want Palm Pre to be released, and I’m tired of seeing so many rumors. It seems like the Pre will be released on the first week of June if it were to believe the NYT. I remind you that today is May 19, and another rumor said that the official Palm Pre launch date will be announced today. We’ll see.
