HP Pavilion dv7-1279wm 17″ 2GHz Core 2 Duo Notebook Review
Here is a very interesting notebook which has an impressive spec list even if it’s not that expensive, and who’s battery will not overheat or catch fire. This is the HP Pavilion dv7-1279wm notebook which continues the legacy of HP’s Pavilion series in the good way as it’s a high quality laptop. The HP Pavilion dv7-1279wm features a 2GHz Intel T6400 Core2 Duo processor with a 2MB L2 cache, and a 17-inch WXGA+ high-definition HP BrightView widescreen display with a 1440 x 900 resolution.

Well, if the basics are great, let’s move to the other specs – the HP Pavilion dv7-1279wm17″ 2GHz Core 2 Duo notebook features 4GB of RAM which can be expanded to 8GB, a NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT graphics card with 512MB dedicated memory which can reach 2302MB shared memory, 500GB HDD at 5400RPM, and a 8-cell battery.

I definitely think that all of the above are enough for everyone, some might say that this is too much for them, but enough with the hard part, and now the spec list continues with a LightScribe SuperMulti 8X DVD±R/RW with Double Layer Support multimedia drive, built-in 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet LAN, built-in Intel WiFi Link 5100AGN, integrated high-speed 56k modem, Altec Lansing speakers, one ExpressCard/54 slot, built-in 5-in-1 media card reader, 4 x USB 2.0 port, 1 mic port, 2 headphone ports, VGA port, Firewire IEEE 1394 port, and a HDMI port so that you can connect the notebook to a HDTV.

The HP Pavilion dv7-1279wm 17″ 2GHz Core 2 Duo notebook comes pre-installed with Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit with Service Pack 1, and it should be available for a price between $700 to $900 depending on specs and retailer. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
