Cnet reports that Sony is preparing to release it’s own music store, integrated in their PlayStation network, though there are no official statements from Sony yet. This rumor could be true, because Sony has failed to monetize it’s PlayStation network at its full potential and other companies manage to sell a lot of software and music through their own stores.

Sony has proved many times it doesn’t know how to manage content already, but maybe they’ve learned the lesson and will be successful with their PSP music store.

This is not the only rumor about Sony, there are others about a flash-based PSP, expanded PS Network Store, and many others.
