Sometime last month Apple has reached 1 billion downloads from their App Store, and they keep on going. Now that everybody realized how important the App Store is, why wouldn’t they release even more applications? Well, Capcom has just announced that it will release 10 more games for the iPhone and iPod until March next year. A few weeks ago Capcom has unveiled Resident Evil: Degeneration for the iPhone and iPod touch, and the company’s CFO says that it was a huge success.

Resident Evil: Degeneration iPhone

Capcom’s first game for Apple products brought a lot of money for the game maker as mobile gaming is running wild now. For the moment we expect Capcom’s CFO, Kazuhiko Abe, to announce what games are coming to the iPhone.

Abe also spoke about Resident Evil 5 game who will reach 1 million units sold this year even if they expected to sell only 800,000 units. Capcom is encouraged by the fact that they sold about 570,000 in the first month, but they expect the sales to drop for the Xbox 360 and PS3 destined game.

Well, the Japanese publisher is doing great on the US market and it seems like they are not affected by this financial crisis. Just imagine if there was no recession… Capcom would be in heaven now.
