LG Unveils GW520 and GT505 Touchscreen Smartphones

LG comes back to the market with two new touchscreen-based cellphones, one designed for social networks while the other provides a GPS solution. The first one is called LG GW520, while the other is LG GT505. The former should be available in the UK on most networks as of June 2009, while the latter will be available in the UK at Orange as of June 2009. No pricing list was announced, but here are some specs of the two new touchscreen smartphones from LG.

LG GW520

The LG GW520 features a 2.8-inch touchscreen, sliding QWERTY keyboard, 7.2Mbps HSDPA, 3G, a 3-megapixel camera, push email using Microsoft’s Exchange ActiveSync, and a browser. The touchscreen smartphone will be great when it comes to sending emails, and it will offer users the full social media and networking experience as it allows them to connect on FaceBook or others and to chat with their friends via IMs thanks to a cool user interface.

LG GT505

The LG GT505 features a 3-inch touchscreen, WiFi, 3.6Mbps HSDPA, 3G, a 5-megapixel camera, GPS, push email using the same MS Exchange ActiveSync, and voice instruction. This LG touch-based smartphone comes packed with the Wisepilotfor LG service which is a turn-by-turn GPS solution with voice instruction, and 2D or 3D mapping.

Well, we can hardly wait for the pricing, and we should hear more soon or when the smartphones go live in the following days.
