The Sims 3 should be available in stores now and you definitely need some cheat codes. Why? Well, I hate cheating on games because it means that I would lie to myself, however, sometimes you get bored and you want to do whatever you like without pressure on your shoulders. Here are The Sims 3 money cheat codes and more. First, you should buy the game (but if you download it from torrents, then… that was your choice and we’re not going to comment on it), then you should install it on your computer. In order to activate the Sims 3 cheats for money and other stuff, you have to press “Ctrl + Shift + C” and then…
Here is The Sims 3 cheat codes list:
- Add 1,000 Simoleons: Kaching. This cheat code will add 1,000 more Simoleons.
- Add 50,000 Simoleons: Motherlode. This cheat code will add 50,000 more Simoleons.
- Add Family Funds: familyfunds + (type familyname) + (type amount of Simoleons). This cheat will add the amount of Simoleons you entered to the Sims family you entered.
- Enable Testing Cheats: testingCheatsEnabled + (type true or false). If you set this to “true” then the video game will enter in “debug mode” meaning that you can change or lock needs, Shift-Click the Mailbox in order to modify careers and others.
- No limitations on moving objects: moveObjects + (type on or off). If “On” this cheat code will give players the possibility to move stationary objects.
- View career outfits and service uniforms: unlockOutfits + (type on or off). This cheat code will allow players to see career outfits and service uniforms, but you have to enter it before you create the sim mode.
- Display cheats: help. This cheat code will display the cheats you can use in the game.
- Return Sims to safe and neutral state at home: resetSim + (type first name) + (type last name). This cheat code will return the sim you type to a safe and neutral state at home.
- Allow terrain adjustments: constrainFloorElevation + (type true or false). If you set it to “false” (yeah, to false because “true” is the normal variable) then you will be able to raise or lower the floor no matter what’s in there.
- Objects will not snap to slots while holding “Alt”: disableSnappingToSlotsOnAlt + (type on or off). This cheat code will not snap to slots while holding “Alt” if you set it to “on”.
- Objects fade when camera gets close to them: fadeObjects + (type on or off). This cheat code will allow objects to fade or not fade when camera gets close to them, but it doesn’t affect Sims.
- Show or hide talk and thought balloons above a Sim’s head: hideHeadlineEffects + (type on or off). If you set it to “on” then you will not see the talk and the thought balloons above a Sim’s head.
- Print random joke to the cheat console: jokePlease. This cheat code will display a random joke within your cheat console.
- Slow motion visuals: slowMotionViz + (type from 0 to 8). This cheat code will slow down the visuals in the game, and it doesn’t affect the “in-game time.” Please note that “0″ is normal, while “8″ is the slowest.
- Full screen mode: fullscreen + (type on or off). If on this code will run The Sims 3 in fullscreen mode.
- Frames per second display: fps. This cheat code will display the fps the Sims 3 is running, in the top right of the screen.
- Enable llamas: enablellamas + (type on or off). Apparently this cheat code does nothing, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see llamas in the game. I guess it remains to be seen…
- Quit The Sims : quit. This code will close The Sims 3. Make sure you saved before entering this code.

They do work but only if your computer has a virus(thats bad). Me and my friend both got the sims3 the cheat codes didnt work untill our computers had a virus but because our computers both had a virus within a month (3 months for my friend) our computers had broken down.
All our work was on the computer and all photos and much more. But a computer is worth about £300- 500 so that is the amount of money we (our parents)had lost.

they work for mii. but when i had sims 2 some cheats never worked for mii but they worked at my friends house. it was really weird and in create a sim there was no place to chose traits i think it was becks i had the old version.
Emm yeah it was definitely because you have the Sims 2.
There were no such thing as Traits then. That’s one of the new features in the Sims 3. If it was in all of them, what would be the point of making new games??
They’re not just “versions”, they’re entirely(or at least, almost) different games. =)
they do work all of them do i have been playing all the sims since they came out and all the cheats do work
some work, some don’t. for instance, familyfunds doesn’t work in sims 3, only sims 2. in addition, the debug mode is more limited than the sims 2 version, and there are as of yet no cheats discovered that replace the “maxmotives” cheat from sims 2 that maxs needs. however, kaching and motherlode still work, so money troubles are over
Yes you’re right there’s no direct cheat to replace “maxmotives”. It was a lifesaver at times ^^
But if you do the “testingCheatsEnabled true” you can immediately drag up the needs and relationships, so that’s covered. This cheat doesn’t do the same exactly as the old ” boolProp” and the only thing you can do when you hold shift and click on a sim is trigger their birthday, or make them join your household.
Haven’t yet figured how to remove them from your active household in the same fashion, and I end up kicking them out!! Lol. Went out on a limb there, but ahh well.
familyfunds does work in sims 3. go to da cheat console, type cheatcodesenabled true. go back to the the cheat code console and type family funds (family’s last name) and amount of money. it should work, it did for me.
I tried the testingcheatsenabled code yesterday but I added “boolprop,” hoping it would work, and it didn’t. So I’m glad that cheat still works, just have to take boolprop out.

Have you tried changing the screen resolution? Maybe the top of your game has been cut out? Try changing that in the options of the game. If not, then I can’t think what else other than you can’t be doing it right…
You have to make sure you hold down ‘Ctrl’ and ‘Shift’ and press ‘C’ all at the same time. Hope you figure it out

Family funds and testing cheats enabled does in fact work. if you type in say: familyfunds Smith 1000000 Then the smith family will recieve 1,000,000 Simoleons. testingcheatsenabled true (or false) is also the correct way to enter it in. Exclude the + signs. Hope this helps

You can stop your motives from decaying, set your career to ANYTHING.
I went from working in the diner, to having a limo pick me up the next day..lol

as far as i know, there is no boolprop in s3.

to use cheats on laptop it is a simple fix, pissed me off for a while too. There is another program whose shortcut is cntrl shift c, you just have to change it to sometbhing else or disable the shortcut. it is HP health check. just go to it in the start menu right click it, and in properties change the shortcut, or disable the shortcut.
the “familyfunds” only seems to work while you are in the household and you can get as much as $99,999,999.00

On Vista you have to push control+shift+windows button+c to get the cheat window.

Actually it only doesn’t work for laptops on Vista. My computer is fine, and I have Vista. It’s because of the laptops (I doubt any laptop without vista could even run the sims 3, its that huge!!)

Yeah. You’re meant to use ‘Shift’, not ‘Alt’.
To get it to work on vista you have to do ctrl+c+shift+ the windows button its like two buttons away from ctrl hope that helps
Jojo, if you are running Windows Vista, you have to push Shift+Ctrl+C+(Windows Key) in order to bring up the cheat window.
To use any Sims cheats online, you need to press, “CTRL + SHIFT + WINDOWS + C”
I’m on a laptop with Vista running. All I have to do to open the cheat box is press Ctrl+Shift+C. However, after the initial install, I had to do a hard reboot (complete shut down to turn off all power, and then restart). Once I did that, the normal command worked just fine.
Ok, I get it, maxmotives (in the way you’re supposed to do it for sims 3) works. BUT. HOW do you get it to work? I’ve been typing in testingcheatsenabled true and shift+clicking my sim for this whole time and I cannot get anything to happen except changing my sims traits and triggering my age.

Got my game yesterday. Testing cheats enabled code does work. Motherlode works as well. There was one for make happy that i couldn’t get to work for me. unlockoutfits works well. i am going to try the familyfunds one tonight as well as another that i found shazaam – supposed to give your selected Sim 2,500 life reward points, and freerealestate that is supposed to ignore the cost for a house or lot. Anyone try any of those yet?

Yes, but if you sell the house to try to move into a nicer, more expensive house, it sells everything and gives away all your money except $16k. Is there a way to move into another house without losing all your money from the ‘familyfunds’ command?
It works using the “CTRL-SHIFT-WINDOWS KEY-C”, but when I try to move, sell the house, and buy another house, it deletes my ‘Wishes’ and the money reverts back to $16k.

I have a laptop, regarding that ctrl+shift+c thing, I couldn’t get mine to work until today. It’s really tricky, press ctrl+shift on both sides of the spacebar at the same time, then press c. Then on the right side let go of shift then ctrl and it should come up.
The same thing happened with the sims 2 when I moved everything from my old computer onto my laptop. I haven’t tested that way to open it yet, but i’m pretty sure it will work.
hi all, just share my experience. first of all, you just click Ctrl+Shift+C at the same time (at your sim’s home/lot after you bought it) then type : testingcheatsenabled true (at the upper left corner, a window will pop up) and enter.
and you got all all the cheat menu that you need.

You have to remove a short cut that is alread using CTRL + SHIFT + C. For my lap top it was the health centre that was using it. Simply change it and your problems are over!
freerealestate does work but you have to be in game mode and have already typed in testingcheatsenabled true
Familyfunds does not work in the neighborhood
To max motives type testingcheatsenabled true then shift+click the mailbox click Make all Happy which maxes your families mood& removes negative moodlets.
You have to like click a flag then t
ALL of these codes work but I’ve noitced that most of them won’t work until you’ve used “TestingCheatsEnabled true” code first and the “familyFunds” works but only after you’ve moved in you can’t use it before moving into a new home. Alot of these cheats are for the Sims 2 as well.
Okay, here’s the rundown on how to work that TestingCheatsEnabled code. Once you’ve activated it, a large number of the other cheats will now work. Some will appear to have been input without entering this first, but they’ll have no real effect.
Once Testing Cheats are enabled, you can shift-click the mailbox in the lot to modify a large number of things about the sim, max out your needs, and even set them as “static”, locking them in place. If you need to increase a need quickly during normal play, you can go to the Needs panel for your Sim, and the cheat will now allow you to slide the needs bars around to wherever you need them to be.
The bar sliding doesn’t seem to be common knowledge, so I thought I’d bring that into the open.

i completely agree with greta, using cheats completely takes the fun out of the game, much like taking the hunt out of the kill. guys, i would suggest if you actually want to play it, and for i to be fun and challenging so that after 2 weeks you dont get bored of it, dont use cheats, ESPECIALLY money cheats.

You hit “control+shift+c” all at once to get the cheat box to open up & hit “escape” to get the cheat box to close. I have a laptop and the “control+shift+c” thing works fine for me.
It took me forever to get the mailbox to work. {about 15 times of imputting
testingcheatsenabled true and shift clicking the mailbox} but it actually does work. xD
That’s a major relief for me. n.n
My only problem with the game is how much time I spend on letting them get sleeping, feeding them and making them happy. Gives me a whole lot less time to actually work on their career.

I saw someone mention something about how they are unable to MAX their sim’s MOTIVES. This is in fact possible for Sims 3. First, pop the cheat window up with “ctrl+shift+C.” Then type in the cheat “testingcheatsenabled true.” After doing this “shift+mouse click” on your sim’s mailbox (It MUST be the mailbox on their lot or it will not work). There is an option that says MAKE ALL HAPPY. When you click that your all of your sims motives AND their mood meter will max.
And it wasn’t mentioned but you can also TELEPORT your sim. After using the testingcheatsenabled cheat “Shift+click” on any area in your sim’s neighborhood. An option (“TELEPORT HERE”) will pop up.

Oh and no the “testingcheatsenabled true” does NOT cause viruses. Just be careful how you mess around with the NPCs and stuff. And if you see anything that says “force error” do NOT click it. The “testingcheatsenabled true” cheat isn’t as potentially dangerous as it was it the Sims 2 so you should be A-ok

for aging go into options then gameoptions (or semothing like that ) and turn of aging or change so it takes a long time for someone to age (like 200 ingame days instead of 10)

Hey guys, thanks so much. Motherlode and Help works my family is always rich now! I moved them to a beach house and they love it. Cars and money ha ha.. I am not a computer geek or a game freak but I love computer geeks and game freaks now because if it wasn’t for you guys (lol) I would be playing a boring game. I have a macbook and some of the cheats work. You can also get rid of thought bubbles (good for making videos/movies) by shift control c, then you type :hideHeadlineEffects off / on. Hey guys just letting you know before I get the sims 3. Is it really fun cause I dpn’t want no more boring games of sim 2. I have like 9 expaction packs and all it do is give me more clothes and more interaction with sims. And I wanna ask yall do the sims 3 have a lot of clothes cause I love to dress my sims up real nice. Maybe one day I could try the challeging part wothout using cheats.

u have to put carpet in the upstairs floor so they can walk
make sure the second floor has a wall around it if there is no wall then it is a roof that you put furniture on and the sims cannot walk on the roof.

Hey Emily, you need to hold down ctl shift +c to be able to load any of these cheats. Writing novels, building up your skills to be able to write “romance novels” and getting them publish can earn you $40,000.00 a week for 6 weeks. Goodluck

its really nice how everyone on this website seems to help people out-i just got a laptop for my bithday and im going to get the sims 3 for it so these cheats were a big help thanks very much

there is a cheat that allows you to get lifetime points with a click of a button. all you have to do is move in a family save your game and go back to the main menu. type in testingcheatsenabled true and then get back on your family. go to your lifetime point tab and the light blue box with the chest in it hold control and click in it. you might have to click in the light blue box but in diffrent spots.
My sims 3 won’t go inside their house! They’ll stand outside of the door with this red icon on their head!! HELP!
to bring up the sims needs first you need to activate the testingcheatsenabled and then hold shift and click the bar you want to raise a coulpe time to where ever you want to raise it

Hi! I need some help, i´m trying to move my sim in her house, i bought it and moved ok but i just can´t get her into the house. I click on the left button to get into the house but when i do this, my sim starts yelling she can´t because there´s something on her way… but there´s nothing and every sim i move is the same. If i ask her to walk anywhere around she calls a taxi and gets into it. Can you help me please???? Thanx!
