Microsoft launched Bing a on June 1, and everybody thinks that it’s better than the its predecessor Live Search. Actually I can say that it’s much better, and I’m sure that it will get even better. Microsoft put a lot of effort and time into Bing, and let’s not forget about the ad campaign that they are planning. A few ads are already out there, and they are interesting, but it’s hard to compete against Google and I’m not sure if it’s worth trying.

Well, it’s a good thing that Microsoft didn’t forget about the mobile sector, and they have just released Bing’s mobile version. Microsoft Bing Mobile is, of course, very different from Bing desktop, and it has a very interesting algorithm. Microsoft’s mobile version of Bing decides whether you like news about something or if you would like to see a map. This is OK, but it’s far from being perfect at the moment.
Microsoft Bing Mobile allows users to set a default location therefore it will definitely return good results about your area. However, when search for a map, Bing Mobile will have a hard time in figuring out which map do you want. I guess will have to give Microsoft an extra time in order to make it better and deliver the best results. Actually, it’s very hard to determine which are the best results. We want the best results for us, but what if my best results of a certain query don’t coincide with the best results for somebody else? I guess Microsoft will have to invent a mind-reading device. Meanwhile, just try the Microsoft Bing Mobile website on your cellphone/smartphone and let us know how it worked for you.

BING IS good. A refreshing alternative to google
