Yesterday Google made a surprise announcement: the Mac OS X and Linux versions of Google Chrome have been released and they are available for download now. According to the Chromium Blog, this is only for developers as the Mac and Linux Google Chrome is buggy, crashes a lot, it’s far from stable, it’s very incomplete, you can’t change privacy settings, you can’t have a default search provider, you can’t print, and you can’t watch videos on YouTube. Did I mention that it’s not stable and it’s full of bugs?

Moving on, the Chromium Blog urges Mac and Linux users to “DON’T DOWNLOAD THEM!” because this was released for developers not for the public. Google announced that they will release a beta version as soon as the Chrome is stable enough, but who knows how long this is going to take. You can view what’s wrong with the Google Chrome for Mac OS X and Linux here.

OMG are you serious? No YouTube videos? Enough with the panic and jokes, if you are a developer then please install it, fool around with it and report bugs and other stuff to Google. All Linux and Mac users will thank you forever!
