Today was D-Day for Apple. Everybody was tired of so many rumors, and now it is time to tell the truth and only the truth. Earlier, before the Apple WWDC 2009 started, we reported that Apple will unveil a new iPhone called iPhone 3GS, the release date of the iPhone OS 3.0, a cheaper iPhone model or a price cut at the current 8GB iPhone 3G, and that Steve Jobs will not make its appearance after all.

Well, Apple released a new iPhone called iPhone 3GS which features improved hardware which makes the smartphone faster, an improved camera, compass, magnetometer, faster 3G (7.2Mbps HSDPA), voice control, better battery, better graphics, and iPhone OS 3.0 among many others. The iPhone OS 3.0 will be available as of June 17 for iPhone and iPod owners, Steve Jobs wasn’t there, and we are pleased to be right with the latest prediction: the 8GB iPhone 3G will cost only $99.
The 8GB iPhone 3G is the same. It should be, but the price is now lower, and it will be based on the cool iPhone OS 3.0 comes packed with a lot of known features and with a few surprises. I don’t think it was a good decision from Apple to cut the price of the iPhone 3G, but in the end I’m sure they will sell a lot of $99 8GB units to the poor people like us. Thank you Apple!
