The iPhone Dev Team has done it again with ultrasn0w, the iPhone jailbreak that, according to MuscleNerd, applies to all iPhones 3G running the 3.0 version. Ultrasn0w is a better version of yellowsnow, the software developed by DevTeam which unlocked the first iPhone running on version 2.28.00 on January 1st. As of then, Apple and the DevTeam have been fighting, but it seems Apple has lost the fight each and every time.

It seems like the weakness on iPhone OS 3.0 was first discovered by Oranav, an Israeli Twitter user, who managed to find the baseband weakness on April 26, just six weeks after Apple’s iPhone OS 3.0 sneak peek.

Unfortunately for those who updated their iPhone 3Gs to OS 3.0, the update won’t be available until Apple released the iPhone 3G S, because they believe Apple will try to release it with a fix for the ultrasn0w.

The DevTeam is already trying to jailbreak the iPhone 3G S, but they do not want to disclose anything, because that might help Apple block their attempts.

Both the QuickPwn and PwnageTool should also be released pretty soon.
