June 16th was the day when Xbox Live underwent maintenance, and although Microsoft said that there won’t be any changes, this was partly true. The Xbox Live maintenance also meant that the Zune services were affected, Xbox.com, Netflix, and MyXbox pages, and the outage was supposed to last only one day. However, the maintenance took a little longer, and Xbox Live, Xbox.com, Netflix, and Zune services were the same, but MyXbox page was updated.

Microsoft decided to update the MyXbox pages in order to give users more “movement” as they can access stats much faster now. The MyXbox redesign also makes the avatars more prominent, you can quickly circle through your recently viewed friends, and recently played games.

Now the MyXbox dashboard is definitely better, and although almost nobody complained about the old design, it was the perfect time for a change. MyXbox dashboard now resembles the Xbox dashboard that users are more familiar with it which means that they will handle it better.
