Mozilla’s Funny Response To Microsoft’s TenGrandIsBuriedHere.com

Earlier we reported that Microsoft is offering AUD $10,000 for an Internet Explorer 8 user who will decode the clues, and find the website where the money are buried. I’ve said it before – I’m not sure if this is right from Microsoft. It’s not cool. I don’t like the idea, but what do I know? Let’s all switch to Internet Explorer 8, get their money, and then switch back to Mozilla Firefox / Google Chrome / Opera / Safari or other browsers.

Microsoft has bought the domain TenGrandIsBuriedHere.com, which will probably go live tomorrow when the clues will be unveiled via the @Tengrand_IE8 on Twitter. Well, Mozilla developers have an “advanced” sense of humor and one of them bought a domain in order to mock Microsoft and their Internet Explorer 8. The domain is called TenGrandIsBuriedThere.com and it consists of a Google Map.

No, it won’t show you where Microsoft’s ten grand is, but you can zoom and you will find the Firefox crop circle. Well, I hope you are appreciating the Mozilla Firefox developer for his funny idea.

P.S. According to Microsoft, Firefox is “old”, Chrome is “tarnished”, while Safari is “boring”.
