After the TenGrandIsBuriedHere.com competition in Australia, Microsoft has devised another plan to make Internet users use Internet Explorer 8. The the aforementioned competition was lame and everybody mocked Microsoft including Mozilla, this one is welcomed and it will help a lot of people. Microsoft’s new campaign which will make people use IE8 is called Browser for the Better and the company will fight the hunger in the United States.
Microsoft has “signed” a partnership with Feeding America and they will donate the money equivalent of eight meals for each Internet Explorer 8 download. So if you download Internet Explorer 8 from here then you will help feeding about 25 million people which eat at the Feeding America food banks.

Please note that it doesn’t work if you download Internet Explorer 8 directly from Microsoft, and you have to go to the Browser for the Better website here and download IE8! Microsoft will donate 8 meals to the Feeding America which supplies food to the 206 local food networks across the country.
I’m not saying that you should use Internet Explorer 8, however, it helps if you want to help the poor. The campaign ends on August 8 this year.
Below you can watch two viral videos that can be found at Browser for the Better. Check them out and let us know what do you think about Microsoft and their feed the hunger campaign.
