The Zune HD is not a secret anymore as Microsoft officially unveiled it several weeks ago. However, we didn’t have a release date, and I must say that this is exactly what we are expecting to find out: when is the Zune HD coming? According to a Gizmodo tipster, Microsoft will release the Zune HD for the public on September 8, and the good thing is that it’ll be launched in two versions: 16GB and 32GB. In order to prove his “facts”, the tipster sent some internal docs from Microsoft, however, he forgot to mention the prices of the models.

Microsoft’s internal docs “look pretty good”, but we can say that the launch date is confirmed. This is only a rumor, but we do know something that Microsoft haven’t confirmed: the Zune HD comes packed with NVIDIA Tegra which means that the device will definitely handle HD videos, and to push our luck, it can handle games.

The NVIDIA Tegra packaging and the OLED screen are pointing to the fact that the Zune HD will cost a lot. How much? We can’t tell for sure, but you should save some money if you really want the device.
