The Airbus A310 had taken off from Paris with 147 passengers, then reached Yemen, and it had to land at Moroni, the capital city of the Grand Comore, with 150 passengers.
At first, the Airbus A310 disappeared from the radars, but the officials then confirmed that the Yemenia airplane crashed into the Indian Ocean. The officials don’t think this is a terrorist attack, and they don’t know the exact spot where the plane crashed, but it is believed to have crashed somewhere near its landing site. The problem is the bad weather which makes the sea very rough.
Sadly, there were no reported survivors, but the search teams must find the Airbus A310. Although the weather is still very bad, the French military sent jets and speedboats to find the aircraft and investigate. Again, we fear for the worst…

A malfunctioning Pitot tube could have resulted in the failure of the autopilot or resulted in it deactivating itself as it would have lost the ability to control the aircraft once it could not accurately monitor airspeed.
We should be asking the question of whether a plane with a more traditional systems installed for redundancy (E.g. cables with hydraulics) could survive the conditions encountered by the Air France jet when coupled with it’s apparent catastrophic failure of electronic systems. I also believe that we should support the proposed EU ban of some airlines to fly in EU airspace unless they confirm to strict rules and regulations.
