Apple Releases iPhone OS 3.1 and SDK For Developers
Apple has decided to release the iPhone OS 3.1 beta to the developers, but as usual they didn’t give too many details although the OS comes packed with the SDK. The release is still early, and like said it’s intended for the developers therefore you might wanna think twice before you install it and wait for the final version. According to early reports, the iPhone OS 3.1 beta features “Save a copy” which allow iPhone 3GS users to edit a video, and to save a copy of the original video.
Probably the most important addition is that MMS is activated, however, it won’t work on AT&T without giving you serious headaches. Users are reporting the fact that the Mobile iTunes is now full of bugs and it doesn’t work as intended, Internet Tethering works even if you hacked the phone, updated baseband which hopefully means that there are fewer dropped calls, faster boot and shutdown, Google sync contacts, while Bluetooth AVRCP profiles remain un-supported.
