Yesterday we reported that Palm is taking the Pre smartphone to the UK, but we didn’t know at which carrier. Now we know as Palm as officially announced that the Pre is heading to O2. Palm said that they agreed an exclusive deal over the Pre with O2, and the smartphone will become available in the next few weeks. O2 is running high in the UK as the carrier also has an exclusive deal over the iPhone 3GS with Apple.
Palm needs to be revived, and the Pre is the perfect opportunity. It’s a great smartphone: it has a nice design, touchscreen, physical full QWERTY, and a wonderful webOS. The UI is easy to handle, and you cannot not like the Palm Pre. In the US the most expected gadget of the year was sold by Sprint in more than 300,000 units although it was launched just one month ago. I’m sure Palm put a lot of feelings into the Pre as hard work was needed to develop such a nice device.
Palm Pre: UK, here I come!
