FaceBook is not wasting any time and now iPhone OS 3.0 users are waiting for the FaceBook for iPhone 3.0 app to be approved by Apple. I don’t know if FaceBook should be worried that the app won’t be approved as we all know Apple’s history with approving-disapproving apps. Hopefully it will end soon as Apple really approves weird apps, and disapproves good apps.
Joe from FaceBook seems pretty confident that FaceBook for iPhone 3.0 will be approved and there are no reasons why it shouldn’t be available at the App Store soon. The app features new News Feed, I Like This, Events, notes, pages, create new photo albums, upload photos to any created album, photos zoom, improved photo tagging, Profile Pictures albums, new and improved home screen which provides easy access to everything including search and notifications, add favorite profiles and pages to your home screen, improved notifications which will allow links to the comments so that you can reply, restore messages if you unexpectedly quit or if someone calls you, and you can call or text someone directly from your Friends page.
That’s a pretty long list, however, push notifications will have to wait. Joe said that FaceBook 3.1 for iPhone 3.0 will be released later this summer and it will feature push notifications, bug fixes, and security updates. We’ll be watching!
