This is probably the weirdest iPhone application ever: Pocket Cemetery. I know that in the end nothing matters as we are all going to die, but this doesn’t mean I like seeing tombstones all over my cellphone. Pocket Cemetery is an app for iPhone which was approved by Apple and it’s now listed in the iTunes Store for $2.99. The app allows users to create virtual memorials for the dead meaning that anybody with an iPhone can customize a tombstone, and put there images of the dead, his bio, or favorite quotes.

Pocket Cemetery for iPhone was developed by Wayne Perry, and although you’d think that nobody would like something this, the application was welcomed by many iPhone users who want to pay a tribute for the dead. I don’t know if this is the right way to do it, but the important thing is that this app is available now at the App Store for $2.99.

The application cannot be used via a connectivity which means that your custom tombstone will be viewed only by you without having the possibility to share it with other iPhone users. The reason why many users got this app is that they can put virtual flowers on a grave, and send prayers or messages to the dead. No, you can’t communicate with the dead, but you will honor their memory.

If you are going to download this app, I hope that you are not going to make fun of the dead. Respect their memory!
