The long-rumored Toshiba TG01 has been officialized by Orange UK. The first Snapdragon-powered smartphone will be available as of July in the United Kingdom. The Toshiba TG01 officially features a 4.1-inch WVGA screen with a 800 x 480 resolution, a 3.2-megapixel camera with autofucs, quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE, mono-band UMTS/HSDPA/HSUPA, and a 8GB microSD card included (however, the microSD slot can hold a card of up to 32GB).
The Toshiba TG01 measures 130 x 70 x 9.9mm, while weighing 129 grams. The Snapdragon smartphone also features Bluetooth 2.0, USB 2.0 support, WiFi 802.11b/g, built-in GPS and AGPS, push email, IM clients, Java support, and Windows Mobile 6.1 upgradeable to WinMo 6.5 when it becomes available.
If you are going to buy the Toshiba TG01, then you should know that the smartphone features H.263, H.264, MPEG4, WMV, ASF video support, and MP3, AAC, AAC+, eAAC+, AMR-NB, WMA, MIDI, SP-MIDI audio support. The Toshiba TG01 is powered by a 1,000mAh which manages 220 hours of standby in 3G, and up to 4 hours of 3G talk time.
The Toshiba TG01 will be available as of July 10 for free on a two-year commitment worth about £40 per month.
