Google has announced a new operating system a few days ago, while yesterday we’ve seen some alleged Chrome OS screenshots. The leaked images of the Chrome OS looked fake to us, and other more experienced tech-junkies, however, many believed the shots were real. Well, the leaker of the Chrome OS screenshots announced today that the pictures are fake, and that he is sorry for the prank as he didn’t believe it will “grow” so big.

The leaker of the Chrome OS fake screenshots said that “it was a really bad attempt” because we “are smart people.” One of the things that didn’t look well on the Chrome OS images was the colors of the Google logo which weren’t arranged in the right order, however, he said that the knows the Google logo because he is a graphic designer, and he “just wanted to see reactions if it was a crappy back.”

The faker of the Chrome OS screenshots said that he knows CSS and HTML, and that he didn’t want the prank to continue for more than 12 hours. Well, he didn’t fool us, and we think it was fun. Hopefully, we’ll see even more pranks as users will learn something from them.
