DigiTimes comes with yet another rumor about an Acer netbook that should be coming with both Windows and Android in dual-boot. Though it seems the rumor comes from the Chinese website Apple Daily and it might not be true, there is still a chance. A few weeks ago we reported that Acer is planning an Android netbook, however, days later the company changed its mind and said that it will launch a dual-boot netbook with Android OS and Windows XP sometime in the fall.

Time is passing quickly, and Acer has changed its mind once again, if it were to trust the rumors. The computer makes is reportedly readying the device for an August release. The development of the dual-OS netbook is working fine, and Acer is thinking to release it earlier. Frankly, I don’t mind to see this beauty on the market, actually, I am very happy about it and I hope that Acer will allow me to uninstall XP, although we will have to pay $15 for it.

The Acer dual-boot netbook will not be cheap, I’m sure about that because I’m thinking that they will have to bring something new. A regular netbook will not be a hit although it comes with Android. I guess we’re going to have to wait until August and see if the rumors are true.

The Chinese website was also talking about Asus and MSI who both announced that they are working on Android-powered netbooks, however, they won’t release it in 2009.
