Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Prestige Edition Coming Packed With Night Vision Goggles
When Activision said that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will be the “single biggest entertainment launch of 2009″ I didn’t think it was true. Well, now I do. Here is a special edition of the COD game called Modern Warfare 2 Prestige Edition which was designed especially for the Xbox 360, and for the moment there are not news about a PS3 special edition.
At the bottom of the post you will see the unboxing of the Modern Warfare 2 Prestige Edition where Robert Bowling, Infinity Ward Community Manager, unveils the goodies of the special package. The coolest thing that you can find there is a pair of full-sized, and fully-functional night-vision goggles. I don’t know if night vision goggles should be there as the game is already expensive, but I will freakin’ wear this freakin’ thing every freakin’ night I go out.
The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Prestige Edition for Xbox 360 comes in a special steel case, with an art book, a plastic head to place the night vision goggles, and a voucher that will allow you to download the original Call of Duty from the PlayStation Network (PSN) or the Xbox Live Arcade (XBLA).
For the moment the pricing remains unknown which is a good thing as Infinity Ward wouldn’t like to scare consumers away. The Modern Warfare 2 Prestige Edition for Xbox 360 should be available soon after the MW2 release on November 10, 2009.

da goggles praly dont c very far but if they r real good working NV Goggles then maybe ten feet at most but i dont think dat da things would b good 4 in da field i may not b into Call of Duty but i am into good honest military shit and my honest opinion is dat dose look like toys 4 big kids “Anarchy 4 Life=>”
The NVG’s are pretty much just for show. I’m brown water navy, river combat ops, the ones we use can see over the horizon. Regardless, you’re pretty much paying 60 or 70 bucks for these things. Any decent set isn’t gonna be priced for less than 300 or 400. You’ll probably get about 15 to 20 feet outta them, as well as horrible depth perception. Like I said, pretty much just show, but to a collector, they look great.
