Twitter Fighting Against Spam By Banning Lots Of Fake Accounts

Twitter is looking to get rid of spammers. It’s a very hard thing to do because spammers are ingenious and most of them always find a new way to spam. However Twitter is doing something to fight against spammers, and it’s banning / locking / investigating suspicious accounts. Everything was absolutely normal until yesterday when Twitter users noticed how their were dropping followers, and how they were following less people even though they didn’t remove anyone. Well, this has happened because Twitter has banned thousands and thousands of Twitter spam accounts which in fact were bots who were automatically following people.

It’s not Twitter’s fault if you lost a lot of followers as those were just spammers or bots which means that you wouldn’t have engaged with them in a conversation. Also Twitter wants what’s best for Twitter, and now that they’re helping businesses to promote their business on Twitter, the spammers have to go.

Will spammers go away? I don’t think so, but Twitter is doing a great job right now. There are too many fake accounts, and they’re harming a lot of people. Let’s just see how things evolve, and how Twitter will improve in the following months.
