A few years ago Motorola was the second largest phone maker in the world. Nowadays, I dunno where it stands, but sales dropped dramatically. I don’t know what caused Motorola to go “that” down, but now the company looks to revive its career by developing Android-powered smartphones. Although a Motorola smartphone based on Android was rumored for a while now, we have never seen an actual phone or an official word from the phone maker.
Here is another set of leaked shots of a supposed Motorola Android phone called Sholes. Allegedly, the Motorola Sholes is powered by 256MB RAM, features a 3.7-inch 480 x 854 sliding touchscreen, full QWERTY keyboard, 5-megapixel camera with autofocus, USB, Bluetooth 2.0, WiFi, audio and video format support, and microSD/SDHC card support of up to 16GB.
The Android-powered Motorola Sholes will support CDMA and EVDO Rev A, it will ship in October along a 8GB microSD card, and it will feature on Verizon’s list.
Please note that at the moment the smartphone hasn’t been confirmed therefore the screenshots, Android, specs, and Verizon might be fake. You probably figured that there are no pricing details available. Stay tuned, we will let you know if Verizon or Motorola will confirm the smartphone.
