Snow Leopard is getting very close to being released. We’re at mid-August, and the next Mac OS X version is due for release in September for a price of $29, but only if users upgrade from Leopard while the 5-user license family pack will cost only $49. Yesterday Apple started seeding the Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard Build 10A432 for developers, the build which is rumored to be the Golden Master, or the final version before the product release.
Last week Apple seeded the OS X Snow Leopard Build 10A432 to a very select group of developers and company’s employees, but as of yesterday the Golden Master build is available for all Mac OS X developers. Please note that the Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard Build 10A432 is not officially the Golden Master, but there are some very reliable inside sources which suggested that.
Along the OS X 10.6 Build 10A432, Apple has seeded the Snow Leopard Server Build 10A433, one build higher than the client version. The Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard Server Build 10A433 also comes packed with the final version of QuickTime 7 version 7.6.4.
The client Mac OS X 10.6 has a file size of 6.1GB, while the server Snow Leopard is sized at 5.5GB. According to Apple, Snow Leopard will be available only for Intel-powered computers, while AMD users are left out in the cold.
I wonder how much before Snow Leopard Build 10A432 is leaked on torrent websites. Or on Rapidshare. I’m sure it won’t take too long, but if you are going to go for the Snow Leopard 10A432 torrent then you will have to be very careful at malware, Trojans, worms, etc.
Update: Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard Build 10A432 has been leaked on torrents. We don’t encourage you to download it. Actually, we hope that you’re not going to download it. Also we advise you not to download it from torrents.
