Nokia Unveils Long-expected Netbook, Windows 7-powered Booklet 3G

It has been rumored for over a year now. It has been denied for over a year now. What is it? The Nokia netbook. Why on Earth would you deny it, then sign a contract with Intel, then still deny it, if you will eventually release it? I know you shouldn’t leave almost anything get leaked to the Internet, but this story was somewhat different. Now, I am really annoyed by the arrogance of the Finnish company. Enough said.

Nokia unveiled yesterday a “mini laptop,” not a netbook. At least this is what the company says. We will call it a netbook because… well, it’s a God damn netbook. This device is called Booklet 3G and it will be powered by an Intel Atom processor, while featuring a 10.1-inch display, 3G Wireless, Bluetooth, WiFi, built-in A-GPS with Ovi Maps, HDMI output, swappable SIM card, aluminum body, and a battery which allegedly provides a 12-hour-life.

The Nokia Booklet 3G netbook runs on Windows 7, and the full spec list plus pricing and release date will be uncovered at the Nokia World event on September 2, 2009. Or on a date that nothing will happen if you know what I mean.

More info can be found here, and remember to check out the video at the end of the post and to let us know what do you thing about the Nokia Booklet 3G.
