I think many people will have some w3t dr3ams tonight after they’ll see this gScreen dual-screen laptop! Enough with the renderings as an Alaska-based company will launch Spacebook just in time for Christmas. Spacebook will be a dual 15.4-inch screen laptop, a first in the world, and definitely one which will help designers, photographers, and lots of users who need a lot of desktop size in order to cover all of their applications.
The Spacebook dual-screen laptop will feature 2.26GHz Intel Core 2 Duo P8400 processor, 4GB of DDR2 RAM, 320GB 7200rpm HDD, Nvidia GeForce 9800M GT 512MB or Nvidia QuadroFX 1700M graphics 512MB, IEEE 1393 Firewire port, HDMI port, mic-in, line-in, headphone jack, PCI Express card, and 9-cell battery. The dual-screens will be LED backlit, and this system will be powered by Windows Vista or Windows XP Professional, but Gizmodo says that users will find Windows 7 on this beauty. This beauty will cost about $3,000 and for this amount I demand the good-looking Windows 7, not the buggy Vista or XP.
According to Gordon Stewart, the laptop will be out before Christmas as there still some issues with the power source and with the screens slider, but they will be fixes with some tweaks. Gordon said that he is planning to release 13-inch dual-screen laptops sometime in the future, but until then we will have to enjoy this 15.4-inch dual-screen Spacebook.
It is said that the Spacebook might suffer some changes from the original specs, and that it will be available on Amazon. The only downside to this 15-inch dual-screen laptop is its weight as it is said to stand at about 12 pounds. Well, check out the pictures below and let us know what do you think about it. Would you buy a dual-screen laptop?
