BlackBerry 9550 Storm 2 Release Date Is October 14, Says Verizon Document
I don’t what is happening at Verizon in the past few weeks as everything gets leaked. Not that I’m annoyed or upset as I really enjoy it, however, I am little surprised. The latest Verizon internal document pictures the release date of the BlackBerry Storm 2, as well as two new smartphones that we heard of, but we didn’t know when they would be released. According to the leak, the BlackBerry 9550 Storm is going to be released on October 14, and hopefully, it won’t be as buggy as the original Storm.
In the picture we can see that the Motorola A855 Sholes, an Android-powered smartphone that might be the first Android Motorola handset, and a so-called LG VX8575 Chocolate Touch, which might be the CDMA version of the extremely long and weird LG BL40 (the next-gen Chocolate). Both of the smartphones are set for a mid-October launch, presumably on October 13 or 14.
At the moment these are only rumors as neither RIM, Motorola, LG, or Verizon commented on the leak. What to expect? Just three cool smartphones in mid-October. I seriously can’t wait for the Storm 2 to be out!

FYI thats a fake. Look at the edit marks on the words. That document isn’t finished and definitely isn’t in Verizon’s database.

As a former Verizon Wireless employee I can tell you they will NEVER carry the iPhone. Apple refuses to let VZW have any input into the menu layout or operation, and that is one thing VZW demands on any new device. They want to keep the menus and layout as similar as possible on all their devices. So unless Apple has a huge change of heart on outside input then their iPhones will continue to operate on a substandard wireless network (and that is based on market research, not personal opinion).
That’s odd because if you go to Vodafone’s website, they are releasing the iPhone 3g soon. Since Vodafone and VZW are the same company, I am sure VZW will have the iPhone shortly.
No one freaking cares about the iDon’t 3g. SHUT UP ABOUT IT!

HEY GUYS – IVE BEEN DYING TO KNOW THE RELEASE DATE FOR THE BLACKBERRY STORM 2. A VERIZON REP TOLD ME IT WAS “SUPPOSED” TO BE BY THE END OF SEPTEMBER. A WEBSITE TOLD ME IT WAS GOING TO BE OCTOBER 14TH. AND NOW AN ARTICLE FROM THE WALL STREET JOURNAL DATED SEPTEMBER 25TH 2009 SAYS ITS NOT RELEASING UNTIL NOVEMBER.

A Verizon Wireless Associate said it was to be out Mid-November. No actual date has been confirmed as far as that goes.
I went to a verizon store and called verizon to find out about the possible release dates. I was told they weren’t even aware that a new storm was coming out. Verizon home office said that if it’s not on their website not to believe those other ones. It must be on verizon website. Nothing is final yet, don’t think it will be out until Christmas

I have a friend who works for Verizon. He did a product test on the new Storm 2 this week, but he said they still haven’t given them a release date. At least I now know it does actually exist.
