There were rumors saying that Sony has a 3D Bravia LCD in the works and now Sony has confirmed. They announced the new 3D Bravia LCD HDTV at IFA 2009, in Germany, and the new TV should hit the shelves next year, but we don’t have any exact date, unfortunately.
Sony promises to offer a full High Definition 3D images, through their LCD technology along with the active-shutter glass system. Also the new 3D Bravia LCD HDTV should be compatible with the Vaio computers, Blu-ray products, and Playstation 3.

Currently the number of digital 3D screens is pretty low, being expected to reach 7,000 units by the end of this year, according to Sony.
Until now, no price tag has been set for their 3D HDTV, but it won’t be low for sure.
