Android 1.6 Donut Coming With Android Market Updates Including App Screenshots
Although it’s only at the beginning of its time, Android OS is growing fast and it’s really good that Apple, RIM with the BlackBerry smartphones, and Nokia amongst others have another serious competitor. Android 1.6 Donut will be the next update, and it will come packed with lots of new features, bug fixes, and security updates amongst others. Another thing that the new OS will bring to Android smartphones is the ability to upload app screenshots from the Android Market.
Until now developers couldn’t take screenshots of their apps, but with the updates to the Android Market, they’ll be able to show users what their apps can do. Among other updates Android 1.6 Donut will bring new applications sub-categories (sports, health, comics, and themes), and Italian language support.
These aren’t too many updates, but Google is also keeping the new OS a secret meaning that the company won’t release too many details about what it will be capable to do. However the Android Market has to grow, has to become better, and in time has to become profitable. That’s what Google said. I guess we can believe Eric Schmidt & co. Meanwhile check out the video below and let us know what do you think about app screenshots. Don’t forget to check out the video below the post.
