December 21, 2012 Represents The Galactic Alignment, Not The End Of The World
I’ve read so many predictions about the year 2012 and now I’m just tired of it. Seriously. I’m just waiting for this year so that everybody can get forward to their lives and stop releasing to many theories. It is said that the Mayan calendar ends in 2012. At 11 PM Universal Time on December 21, 2012 to be more accurate. Or when the winter solstice comes.
There are many theories regarding the Mayan calendar, and the most terrifying is the one which says the end of the world is happening on 2012. However I don’t think 2012 end of the world is happening. Maybe the Mayans were just too lazy to write the next calendar. or maybe 2012 represents the beginning of a new era. The prophecy says that the 2012 year will end with a fire-related catastrophe. However some experts say that December 21, 2012 represents the end of a cyclic time, and that a new cyclic time will start.
According to a number of people who studied the Mayans, the galactic alignment will happen in the winter solstice of 2012. Although some say that the galactic alignment occurred in 1998, in fact this astronomical event will occur on December 21, 2012 and it represents the transformation and renewal of the human kind.
The galactic alignment represents the alignment of the winter solstice sun as viewed from the Earth with the galactic equator. Every year the winter solstice, the Earth, the sun, and the galactic equator come into alignment, but on December 21, 2012 the sun will precisely align with galactic equator. The Mayans believed that this represents the beginning of a new era and that the humans will experience a profound spiritual transition. This transformation will be a good one, believed the Mayans.
Am I buying it? I don’t know what to say. It’s just that there are too many interpretations of the Mayans, but we don’t really know anything about them. Please stop freaking, and don’t be scared. You want to live a life of fear? Of course you don’t. We don’t know too much about our past, and we don’t know too much about astronomical events. I guess it’s all up to you. I just believe that 2012 end of the world is not happening.

the funny thing is, is people r always cooking up stories about how the world is gonna end…i believe it makes good money n propaganda.Hollywood loves this stuff.
My belief is that when the world ends its gonna b from a nuclear catastrophe.

Sikhs holy book “Guru Granth Sahib” there

December 21, 2012 represents the end of the current age or cycle in time on Planet Earth. The last time this galactic alignment occurred was on the last cleansing of the planet. 2012 is definitely about the total transformation and renewal of the the planet, which is in desperate need of repairs. Turn off the television programmer and regain control of your own mind. Real 2012 … not lunatic fringe and mental programming is available. You have been warned. New birth only comes after great and horrific pain. Humanity will not just continue on in the state it is today. It can’t if renewal is going to occur.
Live free and enjoy your time as if every day was your last. You should always be thinking that today could be your last and enjoy it as so no matter if December 21st 2012 is really it or not.

I’m not sure if I really believe that the end of the world is going to be on December 21, 2012, if it does then it does i guess we can’t really stop it from happening, I mean although i’m not sure i want to die because the end of the world if we die we die, its not like its just going to be you and your family or me and my family, its going to be the whole fricking planet that dies, every dog, cat, person, and plant on this earth will die and thats that, it would pretty much suck if it did though because then i would only be five months away from graduating, and i will probably never even get to go to london or anything so yeah, whatever happens is what going to happen, but i guess i just have to wait until that day and see if anything actually happens or if i will just wake up on december, 22 2012.

I don’t believe in the end of the world scenario. Those of you that have access to a bible, look at the following: Psalm 8:6-8 ~ “You have made him (man), to have dominion over the works of Your hands.” If we are to have dominion (authority), then what would we have authority and dominion OVER if it was allowed to be destroyed?
I believe that we definately are not in control of what is going on in our universe. We see evidence of that everyday. God left us in charge of our own destiny and then let us know we were going to mess it up. Have you read the book of revalation, we are not in control and no matter what happens in 2012 or any other time everyone should be more prepared to handle it. For instance what happens if some galactic alignment cause world wide power outage how many people would be prepared for that!!! Many things can happen but losin power alone would cause catastrofic effects most people dont even have enough water and food for a month. And yes people lived for a long time without electric but were not them and the world is set up for failer without it. ponder that

This December 21, 2012, crap is just another made up non-event that some are using to prey on the weak-minded people, either to make a buck or for other, more sinister, motives.
Nice article. I dont believe it’s the end either. People may have seen glimpses of an end, but not its magnitude or exact time. I do believe it is going to be an interesting scientific and astronomical event at the least. Mankind is undergoing changes; both spiritual and physical, to some degree. It should be interesting all the more to note whether this date will correspond to anything dramatically noticeable. Good Lord, hopefully the world can get better before then and even moreso after. Planet Earth is mostly pretty sucky and dismal these days.
