Sony To Release PSP Firmware Update v6.00 Very Soon
The PSP is a wonderful gaming device which should gets firmware updates regularly, but it feels like forever since the last major update. Today Sony announced that the PSP firmware update v6.00 will be released soon and that it’s only a “minor update.” I have to say that this is a really weird decision as going from PSP 5.x to PSP 6.0 would require a major overhaul, however, PSP users will be stuck with only a minor one.
PSP 6.00 will bring a customizable XMB meaning that a bunch of new colors will be available for you from the Theme Settings. The new colors for the XrossMediaBar will only be available PSP 2000 or after. The new firmware will also come packed with a security upgrade, while the [Network Update] will be renamed [System Update].
Good for you Sony! You’re giving nothing to nobody! That’s what you’ve been doing lately. Wake me up when September ends.
