TechCrunch is reporting that the Ustream app for Android smartphones will become available later today, and that they were impressed by the capabilities of the app. The good thing is that the app allows users to do whatever you can on the PC, unlike the iPhone app which doesn’t allow broadcast video straight to the web because of Apple (and possibly AT&T) policy. I’ve had it enough with Apple and AT&T, and I think all of us have the right to blame these two companies and their restrictions.
The Android Market is growing at slow pace, but it’s growing and rest assured that it will continue to grow and there are several reasons for that. Apple’s App Store provides apps for only a couple of handsets (I’ll admit: which were sold in millions of units), while the number of Android smartphones stands at about 6, and phone makers will release dozens of them in the coming months.
Google’s advantage is that they won’t block apps for stupid reasons and I don’t think they’ll be very expensive no matter what the software allows users to do. If that happens, then I’d lost my faith in humanity. Apparently the application is out right now as we speak so if you have an Android-powered smartphone then head over to the Market and get it right away.
