Apple Releases iPhone 3.1.2 Update To Solve Three Annoying Bugs
Apple has just released the iPhone OS 3.1.2 in order to solve some serious issues with the smartphone. Thousands of users reported that their iPhone doesn’t wake from sleep anymore, however, the iPhone 3.1.2 Update solves this so-called “sporadic issue” and now all phones should wake without problems after dreaming. Many people said that these were one of the biggest bugs ever with the iPhone OS and another one that annoyed users was losing network access, but Apple did once again a great job and now we won’t see any issues that can interrupt cellular network access until reset.
The next bug that Apple fixed was causing crashes while video streaming, but like aforementioned, it’s gone now. The iPhone 3.1.2 OS is now available for download via Software Update, and it’s ready for all iPhones including 2G and 3G, as well as for the iPod Touch.
At the moment we don’t know if the update breaks the jailbreak and unlock as the iPhone dev team didn’t release an official announcement yet. We don’t want to scare you, but we recommend to stay put and wait until something new surfaces or until an unlucky dude says that his iPhone is no longer jailbroken.

Any idea if the jerky scrolling through podcasts is fixed? That’s really getting on my pec-ends. Could REALLY use more homescreens as well – 11 just ain’t enough.
Nope, 3.1.2 does NOT fix the jerky podcast scrolling. I use my iPod mainly for listening to podcasts, so this drives me crazy every day. Submit a bug report if you haven’t already; it’s the easiest thing I can think of that might actually get Apple’s attention if enough people do it.
