Google upgraded it’s Squared service first released back in June. Google Squared is now able to display up to 120 facts per query. Back in June it was only able to display 30 facts per query.

Google Squared was also updated with a lot of useful features, like the ability to sort columns, item grouping, comparison and ranking. The data can now be exported from Squared to Google Spreadsheets or as a downloadable CSV file.

The service is now also more relevant and it includes more facts, being really useful, though it still lacks a lot of features and sometimes it’s not so accurate. Currently Google Squared is still in Google Labs, being in the beta phase and will probably remain this way for a while, because it’s far from perfect.

Conventional search engines can’t provide a direct answer to complex queries, because usually the answer is split on more websites, so users have to visit them all. Wolfram Alpha and Google Squared try to address this situation by sorting and harvesting data in a semantic way, though it’s not an easy job.

Another difference between a conventional search engine and Google Squared is that Squared returns the answers to the question or query instead of links to web sites that provide the answer, making it easier for the user.
