When I first had a look at the HTC HD2, it was love at first sight. Although it features Windows Mobile 6.5 which is probably lagging behind other more powerful platforms, the HTC Sense UI makes you forget that you are running WinMo. I know Microsoft’s mobile platform is great for businesses, and that it’s packed with features that other mobile software cannot provide, however, WinMo has other technical hitches that are not going to be solved by Windows 7 when it’s coming later next year, and frankly, they’ll lose a lot of clients to the ever improving Android OS.
Nevermind that, we’re interested in the HTC HD2 because it features a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, one of the best UI ever, good RAM and ROM, a huge 4.3-inch capacitive touchscreen, WiFi and 3G among others and that we have a 99% release date for the smartphone. According to Clove.co.uk, the HTC HD2 release date is November 11 without a contract for about $740. A few days ago Vodafone Spain announced that the Sense-packing HD2 will be available sometime in December, but the exact release date and pricing remain unknown at the moment.
That’s great news about a phone that also can be bought by people from the stateside, however, the mobile network will be limited to EDGE until the HTC HD2 is officially available in the US in early-2010.

It will have to have some SERIOUS graphics and sounds since it comes preloaded with TRANSFORMERS I & II… I can’t wait til it comes out… unfortunately it’s on T-MOBILE… I hope big red picks up on this w/o constricting it so much with their crappy policies as they do with all the other great phones making them just good phones
