This is probably the most useful cellphone application for a car, and I don’t think there will be one like this soon. I might be wrong, but there are 85,000 iPhone apps at the App Store so please give me a break. It’s called the Viper SmartStart and it’s an iPhone app that allows iPhone users to do whatever they want (besides driving) with their iPhone to their car. It’s a lot of iPhone there, but we already got used to that so there’s no surprise.

The Viper SmartStart iPhone app allows users to unlock or lock their car, arm and disarm the car alarm, open the trunk, and even turn on/off your beauty. You will need a plethora of money for this system, but I just wanted to prepare you so here’s how you have to do it: you can choose between two systems, one priced at $299 and one which costs $499. The Viper SmartStart system consists of a module which has to be installed on your car that eventually connects to cellular network and allows you to remotely control the car.

Oh, I almost forgot that you’ll also need a $29 per year SmartStart account, but the good thing is that the first year is free. Well, what can I say? It’s kinda expensive and I don’t know if it’s $299 awesome as it’s definitely not $499 awesome, not even thinking about the annual fee. Remember to check out the video below!
