With only one week to the release of the latest Microsoft OS Windows 7, and a good chance that this OS to overcome the problems that Vista OS had, the Apple heads think that Snow Leopard will do the trick and will make what other Mac OS haven’t got the chance.
Why? Because they think that, people who want to make an upgrade from XP will prefer rather to ditch the PC for a Mac instead. They will do this because they have no possibility to make an upgrade directly to Win7, and only those who have a distribution of Vista OS are able to upgrade.
I have tested and installed several versions of Win 7 and all of them worked flawlessly, so I think that Snow Leopard has no chance to have a higher rate of upgrade than the XP to Win7 or Vista to Win 7 upgrades.

Apple Vs Windows - Eternal battle
Only the low price of the Snow Leopard which can be bought for only 29$, may have something to say.
Still there are some reports that shown the increasing sales of Mac OS` and MacBooks each time a new Windows version has been released.
So as a new Windows is coming … is it time to buy a Mac?
According to data collected by Broadpoint AmTech analyst Brian Marshall, it appears that the release of a new Windows version is positively correlated with sales of Mac computers.
“We have concluded that no negative correlation exists on Apple’s (AAPL) hardware sales when Microsoft launches a new OS. Ironically, we believe new OS launches from MSFT may have even acted as a ‘delayed accelerant’ to AAPL’s computing sales,” said Marshall.
Probably the faults of Windows Vista and the negative feelings associated with it may have an impact on the Win 7 sales. But from what I have seen… Win 7 is superior even to XP … so a lot of users will upgrade even they haven’t done it with the release of Vista.
