Three new EC Series Notebooks are being announced by Gateway, the EC54, EC58, and EC14 which will ship on October 22nd. Your options stand between an 11.6” screen size or a 15.6” one.

EC14 comes with the smaller screen and packs a 1.3GHz Pentium Dual Core SU1400 CPU, 1,366 x 768 resolution LED-backlit panel, Intel’s GMA 4500MHD graphics, 4GB of DDR2 RAM, a built-in webcam and multicard reader, 320GB HDD, WiFi, gigabit Ethernet, a trio of USB 2.0 sockets, HDMI output, multi-gesture trackpad and claims up to 8 hours of battery life in a sleek package.

The Gateway EC54 and EC58 both bring a 15.6? LED backlit HD screen with the same 16×9 aspect ratio and 1366 x 768 resolution. For an enjoyable multimedia experience, these two notebooks also include Dolby Sound Room audio enhancement to deliver audio that can match up to the video. The sleekness I was talking about is given by their 5.29 (pounds) weight, one inch thickness and feature a brushed aluminum alloy chassis which comes in either Artic Silver of Pacific Blue. The EC14 model weighs about 3.79 pounds.
