Barack Obama declared Swine Flu ( H1N1 ) a national emergency

President Barack Obama has just declared the Swine Flu outbreak a national emergency and now the White House allows medical officials to bypass federal requirements.

The White House has signed a proclamation through they now allow all medical official to bypass certain federal requirements, Barack Obama announced today. White House officials compared this phenomenon with hurricanes making landfall.

Swine Flu has already resulted in more than 1,000 deaths in the United States and is more spread than ever, especially due to the cold season. Over 46 states in the U.S. have widespread Swine Flu H1N1 activity and more than 100 children died already from the virus.

According to the White House, president Barack Obama signed the declaration yesterday evening.
