LAFD Allocates Resources In The Battle Against The Fillmore Fire
September 22nd, 2009
In an effort to handle the fire that broke out near Fillmore, California, the Los Angeles fire Department jumped into the battle against the flames by assigning an entire strike team of firefighters and one Helitanker. These forces will join those of Ventura County Fire Department and other agencies that provided their resources.
This move was made in accordance with a local system that was put into place to provide help in other jurisdictions when an emergency occurs and insuficient resources are available. The system is called California’s Fire & Rescue Emergency Mutual Aid System.
Let’s hope that the fire will be put out before too much damage is made.
