The 6 year old boy in ballon was a hoax ( Falcon Heene )
The 6-year-old Falcon Heene made a lot of buzz recently and worries the United States, because everybody though he was flying in a balloon all over Colorado. Though people now think everything was a hoax and that the whole episode was staged, because Falcon was found in the attic of the house where he lives.
So it’s clear now that Falcon was hiding in the attic and hasn’t been in the balloon at all, which makes the whole story a hoax, though it was a really good one and made people worry for his life. Falcon Heene and his parents appeared tonight on CNN at Larry King’s Live show, where he said he heard his parents calling him, but didn’t want to answer.

Boy in Balloon
Later, the boy was asked why he didn’t want to answer or come down from the attic and he replied “We did this for the show.” It’s clear from the boy’s answer that the story was a hoax made for publicity and it was a really good one.
His father tried to explain what the boy said, though it’s not the best answer he could give: “Whenever we tell him things like, it’s a bad thing to do, he does go and hide.”

I think the other clincher is that the dimensions of the baloon do not appear to be large enough to carry the child although this would require some careful measurement from known pictures if the designed carrying capacity is well below the boy’s weight the Heenes could be in some serious legel trouble. An Air National Guard helicopter is a pretty expensive item if you are essentially renting it for a stunt.
The other thing is that the baloon didn’t fly right for being something with a weight in the bottom (even if it had the cpacity to lift the boy) – my guess is a lot of people had their suspicions that were part of the effort.
